The Starbrite Vinyl Cleaner and Polish is a specialized marine upholstery treatment designed to strip away ingrained dirt, mildew, and grime from exterior vinyl surfaces. It also acts as a restorative polish, leaving behind a protective UV coating to prevent future fading and sun damage.

Why It's Onboard

After leaving our boat cushions in storage for almost two years while the yacht underwent warranty works in Trinidad, we pulled them out to find the marine vinyl covered in a nasty brown tinge, with what looked suspiciously like dried mold creeping into the corners. It was obvious they needed a serious deep clean and restoration before we could use them again.

Real-world Verdict

We were pleasantly surprised by how well the Starbrite cleaner worked for us. It stripped layers of dirt and grime off, bringing the fabric back towards the original color while making it feel nice and supple again. As a quick tip, I found that using a microfiber cloth is the best way to get down into the fake leather patterning and clean it out. The layer of UV protection it leaves behind is just an added bonus.
