Breville Espresso Machine

Price Range: $600-$1800
Breville make high quality coffee machines that provide a cafe-like experience at home.
We have the Breville Dual Boiler, a premium home espresso machine designed to expertly steam milk and consistently pull rich shots of espresso simultaneously. Rather than purchasing a complex all-in-one unit, we intentionally paired ours with the entirely separate Breville Smart Pro Grinder to effectively manage our daily coffee routine.
Why it's Onboard
Our boat runs on diesel, wind and coffee… and only one of those can cause a complete stop to everything!
We originally purchased this exact setup way back in 2020 during a massive electronics sale, and we heavily used it at our house before literally shipping it completely across the world to install on the boat. This machine reliably gets used on a daily basis to produce coffee that honestly tastes just as good or better than a local café, and we have never had a single problem with its core functionality.
Real-world Verdict
When researching units, we specifically chose to have the grinder completely separate to minimize the number of internal moving parts that could potentially malfunction inside the main machine. As well as the standard equipment it comes with, we also have a bottomless portafilter and 3 shot group head.
While this model is more expensive, we know a number of cruisers and family members who have cheaper Breville coffee machines and have been very happy with the performance. The most similar to ours is the all-in-one barista style machines with the grinder integrated, which are roughly half the price.
