Why it's Onboard

Like all Australian Shepherds, our dog Rose has a massive double fur coat that naturally helps regulate her body temperature. To actively help keep her heavy shedding under control, we rely heavily on using a grooming rake. It efficiently pulls out her loose undercoat and significantly decreases the amount of fur we constantly find floating around the boat.

Real-world Verdict

After testing a few different styles, we have definitively found that the best design is a simple single-row rake with rotating teeth because it gets completely through her double coat without causing her any discomfort. Rose's original brush came from a local pet shop back in Australia, but we recommend the similar rake produced by FURminator, whose entire product catalog we generally find to be high quality.
